We would like to thank you for visiting our website and hope you found it easy to use.

When you place an order with IO Kids Design either online or over the phone, you are making an offer to purchase goods. Once we have received your order we will send you a confirmation email within 24 hours. On all our pieces we require payment in full before the order can be processed and goods dispatched. This applies to shipping charges as well.

Prices are subject to change and updated by IO Kids Design for both retail and wholesale prices. All our prices include UK 20% Value Added Tax but exclude delivery charges.

We use 1st rate shippers. Shipping costs will vary according to the delivery address and it will be quoted as per delivery address and not per product. International customers will be responsible for all import duties, charges/taxes where applicable. Please note that we are unable to deliver to PO Box addresses.

IO Kids Design cannot take any responsibility for orders that have gone missing due to incorrect delivery address.

In the event of the customer being unable or unwilling to accept delivery of any of the goods, we reserve the right to invoice the goods in full, such invoices to be payable as if the goods had been delivered and to place all or any of the goods into storage and to charge all costs thereby incurred.

Whilst we do everything we can to adhere to delivery times stated, IO Kids Design cannot be held responsible for any delays in delivery which are beyond our control including but not limited to strikes and riots and civil commotions, severe weather conditions or acts of God.

It is essential that customers keep the packaging until they are completely satisfied with their order. If the customer wishes to return the order for any reason we can only accept the products if returned in their original packaging. It is also essential to keep the packaging until the customer is 100% satisfied with the order because in case of damage the delivery company will need to inspect the packaging. It is vital that someone is able to receive a planned delivery. If a customer misses a delivery they may be liable for any costs incurred.

Our products are quality checked before they leave the factory but the customers should nevertheless inspect the goods on arrival. If they are unable to check the contents on arrival please check goods within 24 hours. If they sign for the goods and they turn out to have been damaged the transport company will not assume liability.

Any shortages in delivery must be notified in writing within 3 days of receipt of goods with full details. Notification of non-delivery or delivery of incorrect items must be made within 3 days of dispatch (date of dispatch quoted on invoice/dispatch email).

If the company is not notified in writing for any defect within 24 hours of delivery the buyer shall be deemed to have examined and accepted the goods in good condition and free from any defects and supplied in accordance with all the specifications of the order.

IO Kids Design reserves the right to withdraw at any time a retail product from sale and in such an event will refund any monies paid in respect of such withdrawn products.

IO Kids Design maintains to lawful ownership of all products until they are paid in full.

 

Payment

You can order our products and pay for them directly from our website. You may also pay for your goods by Bank Transfer. If this is your preferable option please email us and we will send you our bank details.

 

Delivery company disclaimer:

Our delivery drivers take every care when delivering our products, but we cannot be held responsible for any damages that occur to customer’s property or possessions whilst the delivery is in process. It is the customer’s responsibility to take every care to cover any carpets or furniture and remove any valuables, including pictures, from the delivery area.

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that it is practical to deliver to the desired location.

If IO Kids Design are not able to deliver the whole of the order at one time for any reason including operational reasons or shortage of stock, we will deliver the order in instalments. We will not charge you extra delivery costs for this. If you ask us to deliver the order in instalments, we may charge you extra delivery costs. Each instalment shall constitute a separate contract. If we are late delivering an instalment or one instalment is faulty, that will not entitle you to cancel any other instalment.

We will take reasonable steps to meet the delivery estimate set out on the order (or as otherwise agreed between us in writing). However, occasionally delivery may be affected by factors which we do not control and so cannot be guaranteed. We will let you know if we become aware of an unexpected delay and will arrange a new delivery with you. We shall have no liability for late delivery except where time has been made the essence of the contract and agreed by both parties in writing at the time of ordering.

Goods delivered overseas may be subject to import duties and taxes including customs & clearance fees, duties & taxes, road tax (applicable in Turkey*) or quarantine and fumigation fees (mainly Australia). Such taxes will be payable when the goods reach their destination. The liability for payment of such customs duties rests solely with you and IO Kids Design has no control or liability for them. Failure to make payment will result in delays (of which IO Kids Design cannot be held responsible) and ultimately the return of the goods and further costs accrued.

 

White Glove Service

White Glove Delivery is available with an additional charge. Our White Glove delivery service includes placement inside a room of your choice, inside stair carries (up to two flights), unpacking and removal of packaging. The rates for White Glove delivery are subject to change without prior notice.

 

Unpacking your item

Please take care when opening the packages. Do not use a sharp knife or tool to open cartons as you risk cutting into the furniture. All staples if any should be fully removed prior to taking the item from the carton, otherwise you run the risk of scratching the piece as you remove it from the packaging.  We always recommend you assemble the product on carpet or on the product packaging to prevent scratching.

 

Cancellations and Returns

The customers are able to cancel the contract with us at any time up to 7 days after the day of delivery. If you wish to cancel your order you must do so in writing, either by email at info@iokidsdesign.co.uk or by post to IO Kids Design, 22 Bedford Gardens, London RM12 4NJ.

If you need to change your order please email us and we will be happy to help you. We will ask you to confirm the change or cancellation in writing (email is fine). If you amend or change your order, you may find that there are changes to your delivery lead time and/or the price. If it is more than 14 days after the date you placed you order, we may have already started work on your furniture, in which case it will not be possible to amend or cancel the order. In all cases, we will try our very best to accommodate your requirements.

If you request a refund, we will refund the amount you paid for your goods minus the original delivery charge. The delivery charge is non-refundable. If you fail to take reasonable care of the goods before they return to us and this causes the damage or deterioration of the products, we will charge you for the reduction in value. Any products returned should be unused and in their original packaging. Therefore, please check your goods thoroughly to ensure you are 100% satisfied before disposing of your packaging.

In case of special orders, like customizations for example, which include additional investments made by IO Kids Design the cost of these additional investments will be charged to the retailer if the order has been cancelled after the investments have been done.

We work hard to ensure our goods arrive in a perfect condition. However, if customers should find any problem with their order please contact us at info@iokidsdesign.co.uk

The customers should not attempt to fix the problem themselves, but contact us first. We are unable to accept any goods back if changes have been made, as it will invalidate the manufacturer’s warranty.

In instances of late payment interest will be charged on overdue payment with a rate of 2% per month and a further £10 will be added to each payment reminder.

 

Mailing List

We will never pass any of your details onto any 3rd party. You may occasionally get an email or newsletter from us with news and special offers, but only now and again.

These terms apply to every order. We reserve the right to change our terms and conditions at any time.

All quotations and contracts shall be governed by the English law and the customer submits to the jurisdiction of English Court.
